AI Toolbox publishes free tools and practical guides, and we want you to be able to trust both. This page explains exactly how our content is made, who reviews it, how we use AI, and what we do when we get something wrong. When a tool or guide says "Reviewed by the AI Toolbox editorial team," this is the standard it was held to.

Our editorial principles

• People first. We write to help the reader get a result, not to chase search rankings. If a section does not help you, it does not belong on the page.
• Honesty over hype. Especially on AI and making money online, we describe what realistically works and name the limitations and risks.
• We test what we publish. Every tool is built and used by us before it ships, and our how-to steps come from actually using it.
• No invented expertise. We do not fabricate credentials, authors or reviews. Our value is clear, practical, verifiable guidance.
• Independence from ads. Advertising keeps the site free, but it never changes a tool's output or the advice in a guide.

How we create content

Every tool page and guide goes through the same process:

1. Build and test. We build the tool, then use it ourselves to confirm it works and to learn where people get stuck.
2. Draft. We write the explanation, how-to, examples and FAQ. AI assistance may be used at this stage to speed up drafting (see our AI Disclosure).
3. Human review and edit. A person on our editorial team reviews every draft for accuracy, clarity and usefulness, and edits it into our voice before it is published.
4. Fact-check. Practical claims — numbers, limits, how a feature behaves — are checked against the tool itself or a reliable source.
5. Publish with a date. Pages carry a "last updated" date so you know how current they are.

Fact-checking and sourcing

We verify the practical claims we make: character limits, formulas, file-format behaviour, and how a tool actually responds. Where a claim depends on an outside standard or an evolving best practice, we check it against a credible, current source before publishing. If we are ever uncertain about something, we say so plainly rather than state it as fact.

How we use AI

AI Toolbox is, by its nature, a site about AI — and we use AI assistance in both our tools and our content drafting. That use is always paired with human review. We are upfront about it in our dedicated AI Disclosure, which also explains why we ask you to verify AI-generated output before relying on it.

Reviews and updates

Tools and best practices change, so our content is not "set and forget." We revisit pages when a tool is updated, when a platform changes its rules, or when a reader flags something. When we make a meaningful change, we refresh the last-updated date on the page.

Corrections

We will make mistakes, and we want to fix them quickly. If you spot an error — a wrong number, a broken step, an outdated claim — please contact us. We review corrections promptly, fix confirmed errors, and update the page's date to reflect the change.

Advertising and independence
